I am trying to find a comparable replacement to my HP 8600 which lasted me 8 years! I am on my 2nd HP - #9018 - print quality is not nearly as good as the 8600. I had no problem printing color anything on my 8600 - even on regular copier paper. When I print color on my 9018 - 90% come out too light. I have done a lot of research and it looks I'm going to have to pay more to get the right printer. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi @Debi6,
.
I'd like to help!
First, let's try and troubleshoot and figure out the issue
To better assist you -
1) Does the copy print out the same way?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -
-
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon
. -
Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.
A Print Quality Diagnostic Page prints.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
