HP OfficeJet 5230
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

So I have some photos that I need to print and I was looking how to get the best out of it with my current printer, an HP OfficeJet 5230. So as I was reading the manual, I noticed HP Premium Plus Photo Paper to be the recommended photo paper for the best quality.
Now this is odd because reading the 5230 specifications it states the maximum paper weight supported is 250 g/m2 while this paper is 300 g/m2.

So am I correct to assume that I can not use this paper on my printer? And, if that's the case, what would be my best alternative for the photo printing paper?

is correct:

Media Weights Supported, By Paper Path (metric)

A4: 60 to 90 g/m²; HP envelopes: 75 to 90 g/m²;

HP cards: up to 200 g/m²;

but

HP 10 x 15 cm photo paper: up to 300 g/m²

300 g/m² only for photo-size: 10 x 15 cm.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for your reply.

This means that I can still use my 216 x 279mm (8.5 x 11") 250 g/m² HP Advanced Photo Paper, but I can not use the 210mm x 297mm 300 g/m² HP Premium Plus Photo Paper, correct?
