Red ink not working, anything red prints in yellow. I have done printer tests and all ok, cleaned printer cartridge and casing, unplugged completely for 1 minute.

I see that the printer is not printing Red/Magenta. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

To assist you better, are you using HP ink cartridges? Let us try these steps that may resolve this issue:

 

Check the ink levels and replace any low/empty ink cartridges.

Clean the printhead up to 2 times and print a quality report to check the result as shown in this document - Color or Black Ink is Not Printing

 

Try making a standalone copy in color and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Print different types of documents to check for red.

 

If the issue persists, it could be the ink cartridge or the printhead that has to be replaced. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
