HP Smart Tank Plus 559 Wireless All-in-One

Red is now printing as pink on my HP printer. All ink has been refilled.

Anyone know why this is? What I need to do to fix it?

@Sherrybop78, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Smart Tank Plus 559!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I see you're having trouble with your HP Smart Tank Plus 559 printing red as pink. I know that can be frustrating, especially when you've already refilled the ink. No worries—let’s get this sorted!

Here are a few things to check and try:

Print a Nozzle Check/Test Page – This helps us see if any colors are missing or misaligned. You can do this from your printer’s control panel or HP Smart app.

Run a Printhead Cleaning – Sometimes, ink can dry up or clog the printhead, leading to color issues. You’ll find the cleaning option in the printer settings under “Maintenance” or “Tools.”

Check Ink Levels & Cartridges – Even though you've refilled the ink, make sure the cartridges are seated properly and the ink is flowing as expected. Also, give the printhead a gentle wipe with a lint-free cloth if there’s any dried ink.

Align the Printhead – If the colors seem off, running an alignment process from the printer settings might help fix it.

Use Genuine HP Ink – If you’re using third-party ink, it might not mix or distribute correctly, which can affect color accuracy.

Try these steps and let me know how it goes! If the issue persists, we can dig a little deeper. 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
