Region code reset for HP3787 (T8W48C)

Hi, I bought a HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3787 All-in-One Printer in Dubai UAE in 2017. I have now moved to USA. I have been using the printer with the original cartridges HP652. However, now the cartridges (black & color) are empty and I am neither able to get a new cartridge here or have it refilled. I need to reset the printer to use HP65 & HP65XL cartridges or any other compatible cartridge for USA. A quick response would be most appreciated. I have opened a case with HP support using the "Dispute warranty" option.

Hi,

Deskjet Ink Advantage printers are available in emerging markets only, such printers are not sold in North America or have any compatible ink cartridge locally available.

HP 65 cartridges are intended for an HP Deskjet 3700 printer, any such cannot be used by an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3700 printer:

Hi Shlomi, That was really fast. Thanks for the prompt response. I was in fact wanting to give the printer to my Mom who lives in India (she is visiting us in the U.S. now). Is there a compatible cartridge for India ?

Further to my earlier response.. I was able to install the HP65 cartridge - but it wouldn't detect it. Hence started looking for solutions and came across this region code reset approach.

Yes, HP 680 ink cartridges are available in India:

Be aware that once the printer would need to be reset in the future ofcourse, by creating a support case to contact HP Support in India once applicable.
