Hi,

I have moved to Europe and need a Regional Reset for my HP Deskjet 2050 J510 series to use HP 301 cartridges.

Here is the data from the reset menu:

Model: HP Deskjet 2050 J510 series Serial Number: (Edited) Total Page Count: 7299 TriColor Ink ID: E0454F640E68B4AF Black Ink ID: F84903E412195389

Please provide the reset values for fields 41 through 51. Thank you.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you. Please note that HP Printers use different ink cartridges in different regions, and to use the ink cartridges sold in the current region, we need to change the region settings on the printer.

 

I request you to please get back to me with the following information, so that I can help you change the region settings on the printer.

 

Do you still have the ink cartridges for both regions

Do you have a printer USB cable?

Which OS is on the PC? Is it Windows or Mac?

Do you have the printer's full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?

Thank you for getting back with the details.

Step 2:

 

1) Launch the printer software from the desktop icon, from the Start menu, click Start, All Programs, HP, the Product Name, and then the Product Name again.
 

2) Double-click the Estimated Ink Levels icon in the printer software. The Estimated Ink Levels window opens.
 

3) Press and hold the CTRL and SHIFT keys, and then right-click anywhere in the Estimated Ink Levels window, except for a button. The Set New Region window opens.
 

4) If the Set New Region window fails to open, right-click to the right and left of the Estimated Ink Levels window.
 

5) Take a screenshot of the screen and send it to me in private so we can check and generate code.
