HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer

Hello,

I recently moved from the US to Europe and now I need my printer to accept 963 cartridges (instead of the 962 it used in the US). How can I do a regional reset? I have an OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer. Thank you.

Hi @Limonana,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand that you’ve recently relocated from the United States to Europe and are experiencing issues using HP 963 cartridges with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer, which originally used HP 962 cartridges.

HP printers are region-specific, and the cartridges are keyed to function within particular geographical regions. Since the HP 9015e model sold in the U.S. uses HP 962 cartridges and the equivalent in Europe uses HP 963, a regional reset is required to allow the printer to accept cartridges designated for your new region.

To perform a printer region reset, you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.
2. You need to have the printer's full feature software installed on your computer.
3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally, or the new region/country to which you want to reset it.
4. Make sure the HP Smart App is installed too.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you @VikramtheGreat,

I meet all of those conditions. What do I do now for a regional reset?

Hi @Limonana,

Thank you for letting me know. May I know do you have Original HP cartridges for both regions, also have you already performed the regional reset before reaching us?

Let me know

@VikramTheGreat, I only have the Original HP cartridges for the previous region (not the new one). I have not yet performed a regional reset. I'm waiting for instructions on how to do it.

Hi @Limonana,

Thank you for getting back. Please let me know the Operating system of your PC. / Which OS on PC, is it Windows or Mac?

Please have both the regional original ink cartridges for the regional reset to be performed.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
