Moved from US to Panama. Used to have Instant Ink but not available here. Locally bought a 667 black ink cartridge but get "incompatible cartridge" error. Apparently, I need to regionalize printer. Please help !
** Also have the same issue with an Office Jet Pro 8020 Series
*** Need to verify what the compatible cartridges are for Latin America

Hi @JC288,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are looking for help with a regional reset on your Printer.
To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:
Do you have the ink cartridges for both regions?
Do you have a printer USB cable?
Do you have the printer full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?
If you meet the above conditions then let me know the following details:
1) The operating system of your PC, is it Windows or Mac?
2) Confirm the printer model.
Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Thanks for reaching out, @Irwin6
1. Regarding the cartridges:
A. For the HP DeskJet Plus 4100 All-in: have both the Instant Ink ones from the US and the (supposed) local version.
B. For the HP Office Pro 8020 Series printer: Only the Instant Ink ones from the US
A big problem that I have is to determine what the local equivalent cartridge numbers are down here in Latin America. So far what I've seen are the following links, but can't find the ones for the HP Office Pro 8020 Series printer here (HP 914 cartridges)
HP DeskJet 2700, 4100, 4800 printers - Replacing ink cartridges | HP® Customer Support
HP OfficeJet 8010, Pro 8020 and 8030 Printers - Replacing Ink Cartridges | HP® Customer Support
2. I have to look for the USB cable, but certain I'll find it.
3. I have HP Smart and have downloaded updated drivers.
4. Operating system is Windows

Thanks for the info on ink cartridges @Irwin6.
I do have the right one for the Deskjet Plus 4100 All-in (HP 667 black). Still getting the "incompatible cartridges message".
Regarding the HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 Series, still have not found a local provider that carries the Latam cartridge (HP 914).
Meanwhile, how do I go about the regionalization of both printers?
Regards,
JC288

Hi @JC288,
Please install the previous country ink cartridges and perform the steps given below.
1) Launch the printer software from the desktop icon Or, from the Start menu, click Start, All Programs, HP, the Product Name, and then the Product Name again.
2) Double-click the Estimated Ink Levels icon in the printer software. The Estimated Ink Levels window opens.
3) Press and hold the CTRL and SHIFT keys, and then right-click anywhere in the Estimated Ink Levels window, except for a button. The Set New Region window opens.
4) If the Set New Region window fails to open, right-click to the right and left of the Estimated Ink Levels window.
5) Take a screenshot of the screen and send it to me in a private message.
To access your private messages, click the Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link
