I wasn't aware of regionalization and yet I purchase the color toners 207X in Europe for the printer I purchased in the US. I called HP assistance and to my surprise they told me to purchase a new printer and that regionalization was not possible.

Is it at all possible to make it compatible with 207 toners?

To make things more complicated, I do have a new black toner 206X...Any chance to have a mix of 206 and 207?

Hello @arima11

To complete this procedure, you must contact HP US in the printer's country of origin and request regionalization for your new location.

Once completed, you will be able to print.

Best regards

Hi @arima11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'd be glad to help you. Please note that HP Printers use different ink cartridges in different regions, and to use the ink cartridges sold in the current region, we need to change the region settings on the printer.

I request you to please get back to me with the following information, so that I can help you change the region settings on the printer.

Do you still have the ink cartridges for both regions?

Do you have a printer USB cable?

Which OS is on the PC? Is it Windows or Mac?

Do you have the printer's full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

Hello!

Thank you for your message. Here are my answers:

Do you still have the ink cartridges for both regions?

US cartridges: I only have 206X black.

EU cartridges: I only have 207X cyan, magenta and yellow.

Do you have a printer USB cable?

Yes.

Which OS is on the PC? Is it Windows or Mac?

I can use either. Windows 11 or Mac OS Tahoe

Do you have the printer's full feature software and drivers installed on your PC?

I should have it as I recently updated the firmware with the software from HP.com in an attempt to have it working.

Thank you!

Mauricio
