Hi @Campbke,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand you moved and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.
We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello,
I have the same problem (moved from EUR to US), and am desperately looking for a solution. Can't reach a HP representative over 800 number, as my serial number is unrecognized (product ID is - but only online) and 800 support call just drops. Please let me know how I can proceed.

Hi @campbke,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are looking for help with a regional reset on your Printer.
To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:
Which country did you move from and to?
Do you have the ink cartridges for both regions?
Do you have a printer USB cable or is it connected wirelessly?
Do you have the printer full feature software or the HP smart app and drivers installed on your PC?
If you meet the above conditions then let me know the following details:
1) The operating system of your PC, is it Windows or Mac?
2) Confirm the printer model.
Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
Take care and have a great day ahead!

Hi, same problem here: moved from Singapore to the UK, my OfficeJet Pro 8710 was working fine with the 955 cartridges bought in Singapore but now that I purchased a new 953 one in the UK (suggested compatible) printer outright rejects it.
I assume I need a reset as well - please let me know.

The closest I have gotten is HP support on Facebook, but they insisted that I have original cartridges, otherwise they were not able to help me with regionalization reset. apparently the procedure is super simple - just need the HP Smart software loaded and it’s a key stroke combination and code entry.

NOTE: regional reset is attempted on a best-effort basis, it might not work on all printers.

Hello. I moved from the US to Germany and need a regionalization reset to allow use of the new black printer cartridge I just purchased in Germany. The cartridge is the exact same - 67 - but the only difference seems to be which country I am in. Will you please provide specific instructions for my HP856167 (HP DeskJet 2700 series)?
