HP ENVY Photo 6230 All-in-One Printer

Hi

I have moved from the UK to Canada and I would require a regionalization reset code for my printer. I bought original HP cartridges from staples but they say incompatible and after checking the support I figured out I would need a regionalization reset code.

regards

Ajay

Hi @AJ274,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

I understand you moved, and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.

NOTE: regional reset is attempted on a best-effort basis, it might not work on all printers.

If this does not work, we cannot re-attempt it as it may brick the printer

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi

I have now managed to reset the printer region using the code provided and USB cable connection.

What do I do next?

Hi @AJ274 ,

If you have already done the regionalization, you need to cancel the instant ink program from the old region and need to subscribe again in the new region.

To enroll again, make sure you have an HP regular cartridge for the new region.

Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi,

The instant ink for old region was already cancelled last month itself. But when I am trying to enrol in the new region IAM getting an error starting  with GA .

I am getting so fed up with HP printers now I am starting to explore other brands and options because the instant ink change seems to be so complicated.
