HP Officejet Pro 8730

So I am having an issue with the Officejet Pro 8730 telling me to reinsert both Cyan and Magenta cartridges. I tried 2 brand new Magenta and 2 brand new Cyan HP brand cartridges and it still keeps asking me to reinsert. If I remove Magenta it will see the Cyan and say it is full. As soon as I put Magenta back in it says both need to be reinserted. If I remove cyan and not magenta, the magenta will still want me to reinsert it. I already found one post that said to take out the cartridges then unplug the printer while it is turned on. Wait 3 minutes then hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then plug it back in, wait for it to load and reinsert the ink. That did not work. I also cleaned all the contacts with isopropyl alcohol. That did not help. I also tried to update the firmware at the printer, but it is up to date. I really hate to be wasteful and buy a new printer since it is only 3 years old and we paid close to $400 for it new. Is there anything else I am missing for trouble shooting? Thanks.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for the help. I did do a serial number lookup before I came to the forums, but it is out of warranty. I will keep an eye out for the private message.
