@Dag1302, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

You can print using only the black cartridge on your HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer by following these steps:

Install the Black Cartridge: Ensure the black cartridge is properly installed in the printer.

Set Printer Preferences:

  • Open System Preferences on your Mac.
  • Go to Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP DeskJet 2710e printer from the list.
  • Click on Options & Supplies and then Show Printer Webpage.
  • In the printer's webpage, navigate to Settings or Preferences.
  • Set the print mode to Black Ink Only or Grayscale.

Print a Document:

  • When you print a document, make sure to select Black & White or Grayscale in the print dialog box.

Single-Cartridge Mode: Your printer should automatically switch to single-cartridge mode when the color cartridge is removed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
