I have just replaced the ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet Plus 4100 All-in-One printer and now the printer will only print blank pages.
The ink cartridge is compatible and inserted correctly, I have turned off and unplugged the printer and it is still printing only blank pages.

Hi @CRContracting,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see there is an issue with the printer after the cartridge replacement.
May I know if you can make copies?
May I know if are you using genuine HP ink cartridges? If yes, please follow the steps mentioned below.
Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the new ink cartridge has enough ink. Some printers provide an option to check ink levels through the printer software or on the printer itself. Verify that the ink levels are sufficient.
Remove the Protective Tape: Double-check that you have removed any protective tape or seals from the new ink cartridge. These tapes are often placed on the contacts or nozzles of the cartridge and must be removed before installation.
Clean the Print Heads: Run a print head cleaning utility on your printer. This can often be done through the printer software on your computer or directly on the printer's control panel. Cleaning the print heads can resolve issues with clogged nozzles.
Align the Cartridges: Some printers have an alignment process that ensures the print heads are aligned correctly. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to align the cartridges.
Check Printer Settings: Make sure that your printer settings are configured correctly. Ensure that you have selected the correct paper type and print quality settings. Sometimes, choosing a higher print quality may improve the output.
Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the official HP website to download and install the most up-to-date drivers for your specific printer model.
Perform a Test Page: Print a test page to see if the issue persists. A test page displays information to make sure the printer hardware functions correctly.
- Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer.
- Press and hold the Power button, and then press the Cancel button
.
- Release the Cancel button, then the Power button.
- A test page prints.
Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can address bugs and improve overall printer performance.Click Here
Try Another Cartridge: If possible, try another compatible ink cartridge to see if the problem persists. This can help determine whether the issue is with the cartridge itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
