HP Ink Advantage 3788 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit)

Hi I am a resident of Philippines, i had purchased a HP Deskjet ink Advantage 3788 printer  from United Arab Emirates. Now i wish to replace the cartridge, the original cartridge supported was 652, now since in Philippines its equivalent is 680.

i suppose it wont work with HP3788 printer, what shall i  do to make it compatible. Is there any software technician who will reset the region such  that HP680 cartridge is compatible with my printer. Kindly look into this asap.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to assist you with the region reset of the Printer.

To do a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.

3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region to which you want to reset it to.

Please do let us know.

Yes, I already connect & installed the latest software for my printer.

The new HP 680 cartridge also installed but it still the same issue,  it is not detected by the printer.

If I will install the old HP 652 cartridge came from Middle East. It was detected but the ink is almost empty.

That is why I bought the HP 680 cartridge because that is the compatible cartridge for my printer here in the Philippines.

I ask the store where I bought the ink, they told me to reset the region because the printer is from middle east so even the

ink is compatible It will not work. So, can you please help me with this issue. ty

Great 🙂

1. Launch the printer software from the desktop icon or, from the Start menu, click Start, All Programs, HP, the Product Name, and then the Product Name again.

2. Double-click the Estimated Ink Levels icon in the printer software. The Estimated Ink Levels window opens.

3. Press and hold the CTRL and SHIFT keys, and then right-click anywhere in the Estimated Ink Levels window, except for a button. The Set New Region window opens.

4. If the Set New Region window fails to open, right-click to the right and left of the Estimated Ink Levels window.

Use the "Copy to Clipboard" feature to paste the values here or take a screenshot of the screen and send it to me in private.
