Hello HP Support Team,
I recently relocated to India and brought my HP Envy 4520 All‑in‑One printer with me.
My printer currently accepts HP 63 cartridges (US region), but these are not available locally.
In India, the compatible cartridges are HP 803 or HP 302, which my printer does not recognize due to the regional lock.
Printer details:
Model: HP Envy 4520 All‑in‑One
Serial Number: Edited
Current Cartridge Type: HP 63 Black and HP 63 Tri‑colour (from US region)
Desired Cartridge Type: HP 803 / HP 302 (India region)
Current Location: India
I kindly request your assistance to perform a Regionalization Reset so that my printer can accept the Indian cartridges. I am the original owner, and I can provide proof of purchase if needed.
Thank you in advance for your support. Please let me know the steps or if a remote session is required.
Kind regards.

Hi @Walid47,
Welcome to HP Support Community!
We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
To access your private messages, simply click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile name.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:
1. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.
2. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally or the new region/country to which you want to reset it to.
3. Make sure HP Smart App is installed too.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?"—your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
