HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One

Help!!

Brand new HP7005 smart tank printer.  All settings and drivers up to date, printheads aligned etc.

getting roller marks (indentations NOT ink lines) the full length of the page on glossy photo paper ONLY.  Tried 120gsm and 250gsm.    I will say that it is not HP paper, its Rymans and also PPD.

But I had this exact same issue with a brand new Epson printer last week using ALL epson ink/paper etc and returned it for a refund.  Looks like it is a glossy paper issue regardless of make?

Anybody shed some light on this please?

Did you set correctly in print driver paper setting and print quality setting. If you don't do that the ink doesn't have enough time to dry and you get vertical roller marks. If you set those settings correctly the printer will slow down allowing more time ink to dry and HP recommends using HP paper for best print quality.

Thanks for replying.  Yes, all settings, drivers, speed, paper/quality settings are as they should be.

after purchasing HP paper, the problem seems to vanish.  I do find it unbelievable that, considering the size of the industry/market,  I can’t be the only one encountering issues with off brand paper.

anyway, new issue with colour quality on HP paper.  Spoke to HP tech support who are no help whatsoever, so printer has been returned to store.
