Hi all I’m new here. Bought a Samsung C430W laser printer several years ago and was printing great. Hadn’t used it in a long time and I would like to use it again. Did prints and there are ghosting. Wish I can show a photo of the print. I already took it apart, cleaned the belt and that stuff but still same. I really cared great for it, no drops, no damage whatsoever. Is there a definite way I can do to tell that it is really time to say bye to it coz it was barely used at all so, I’m very sad. Hope someone can shed light on to

this. Thanks so much in advance!

Hi @Chingmarie,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your Samsung C430 Color Laser Printer, having a printing issue. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this issue:

Run a cleaning cycle: Many Samsung printers have a built-in cleaning mode in the driver/software Samsung Xpress SL-C430 Color Laser Printer series | HP® Support.

Replace toner cartridges: Even if they look full, toner can degrade over the years of storage.

Inspect/replace the imaging drum: Ghosting is often linked to drum wear. If you see repeated patterns at fixed intervals, that’s a drum issue.

Check the fuser unit: If ghosting repeats at longer intervals (like half or full page length), the fuser is likely the problem.

Test with fresh paper: Old paper absorbs moisture, which can worsen ghosting.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
