Hi
Can anyone help make my printouts match better with my screen? I don't need it to be exact - close would suffice.
I've found all kinds of very technical info about all are beyond my ability / budget / needs. If the flower in this example was printed a different shade of the same colour, I'd be happy. Unfortunately - as can be seen - it outputs an entirely different colour.

Hi,
First, print and evaluate a Print Quality Diagnostic Page and compare it with the shown sample:
https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c05571878
Does the report produce the same colors as shown by the example? this in order to deny any possible ink cartridge problem.
Also, when printing such a photo, make sure to select Best Print Quality, any other quality will results lack of color accuracy for a such.
You may also try disabling the HP Real Life Technologies checkbox within the Advanced tab of the printing preferences screen and check if that may provide better results for the print job.

Print Quality Diagnostic Page: previously done, result fine
select Best Print Quality: previously done
You may also try disabling the HP Real Life Technologies checkbox within the Advanced tab of the printing preferences screen and check if that may provide better results for the print job. This solved the issue, thank you, Shlomi
So should I leave this option switched off? What's it for? Is it actually trying to "guess" what the colours should look like rather than as presented to the printer?
Again, thank you Shlomi - I sorta half noticed the "Real Life Technologies" option before but it was on by default and I never gave it a second thought.
