My printer was initialised, meaning it's printed pages in the past, and I am now getting the 'use SETUP cartridges' error when trying to install new cartridges, as the SETUP ones are now out of ink. I definitely purchased the correct replacement ink cartridges, but unfortunately no longer have the empty SETUP cartridges. How do I override the 'use setup cartridges' error?
For info, I decided not to use the instant ink services that came with the product and just purchased the identical cartridges from a local retailer (argos) as they had them in stock.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
