I am setting up a brand new officejet 5258 printer (It has been sitting in the box unused for a few years). Everything seems to work but the print is extremely faint. ink levels indicate full. No color shows up on test print and it will not recognize anything to scan for setup.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand that you are facing print quality issues on your HP OfficeJet 5258 All-in-One Printer.
Please follow the steps listed below to clean the cartridges.
1. Load the printer with plain white paper.
2. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .
3. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges. The printer prints a Print Quality Diagnostic report.
4. Examine the print quality on the Print Quality Diagnostic report.
a. If the print quality is acceptable, touch No. You can stop troubleshooting.
b. If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Yes when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.
NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.
