HP DeskJet 2722e All-in-One Printer

I have an HP Desktop 2700e Inkjet Printer. I had used hoping from the very start of using it 6 months ago. It used to print perfectly, no issues at all.

I stopped using HP brand ink cartridges last month because they’re too expensive. I now use CALIDAD ink cartridges (suited to the model),  and it’s started printing a shadow behind everything I print. I have tried every possible trouble shoot to try & fix this (and wasted a whole lot of ink), to no avail.

I’ve arrived at the conclusion that t’s not an issue caused by the print heads being dirty or being misaligned (they’re brand new); the shadow is there on purpose, like it’s an unchangeable font choice. But it doesn’t appear on any of the hp information pages I print out sporadically, like alignment or printer information pages, only on my stuff.

I actually think HP is doing it (on purpose) if you’re not a HP ink customer, so that your printer will use more ink, and to irritate you into returning to HP cartridges.

I’m being serious, I’m convinced this is a sheist by HP. I’m so close to just binning this printer and buying a different brand.

If anyone has a solution to this, please feel free to share it. I’m about ready to give up and swear off HP forever.
