Hi,

I've just inserted new colour and black cartridges in my Laserjet MFP M477fdw printer.  I was following guidance online from HP but forgot to shake them before insertion and they have now printed out a test page.

A previous archived thread on this forum said not to shake cartridges.

Will it matter that I did not shake the new cartridges?  Should I shake them now?

You don't need to worry, if the print quality is good you are fine. Shaking toner is to distribute evenly toner dust inside and it can be done anytime, gently shaking it with one hand from left to right a few times.

Many thanks, I feel reassured!  The print quality is good anyway.
