Skipped lines

HP photo Envy 7858 skips horizontal lines. Cartridges not that old, cleaned 3 times. It happens both when I print text in black ink or switch to color. Skips appear to be in same places on each page and getting worse. Cartridges have adequate ink and are HP genuine.

Update - Add "Software reload"

Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software might need to be uninstalled / reinstalled.

Ask if you need help doing that.

Printer might be dirty.  ?

Something to consider...

If you are trapped in a monsoon event, the paper might be too damp. 

"Damp" to the printer is different from feeling damp when you touch the paper.

This problem might be harder to detect and certainly harder to fix if the humidity is very high.

Could be the cartridges are just bordering on needing to be replaced.

It is not just the amount of ink in the cartridge -- and the automatic cleaning only does "so much".
