My black ink stopped working.  At first it was having intermitent ink feed and finally it stopped working.  I have Print Doctor and ran all the programs, includin cleaning the heads.  I can see that the feed ribbon which transports the ink via thin veins has a dry black 'vein' leading to the print heads.  Ink is full and printer is 2 months old.  Re installed drivers as well.

To better assist you - 

 

1) Does the copy print out the same way? 

2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device? 

 

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  • On the printer control panel, press the Resume and Color Copy buttons at the same time.

 Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
