HP Smart Tank 6001 All-in-One

When trying to print color pages, the printer will not print the correct colors.

 

Green comes out yellow

blue comes out pink

red comes out faded

 

I have went through all the troubleshooting steps offered by the HP Smart App and it hasn't helped

When I clean print heads it prints out correct colors

when I align print heads it passes 

I did the smear cleaning 

I checked for updates

I have unplugged and plugged it back in

 

Nothing has helped..... what can I do next?

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Check ink levels and fill ink tanks

Low ink levels can impact print quality. Refill any tanks that are low on ink.

HP recommends that you use genuine HP ink. HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of non-HP ink. If you do not use genuine HP ink and HP printheads, the steps in this document might not resolve print quality issues.

On the control panel, look for KYMC and the blinking Ink icons . The Printhead icons might also blink.

Fill any tanks that are low on ink.

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
