Minor issue:  The status report from my Smart Tank 790 continuous reports that all 4 colours are full although I can see visually from the translucent plastic on the front of the printer that Black is around 50%, and each of the three colours are around 70%.  Printer is already on 2.2247.

No big deal but I though I would ask anyway.

You may follow the steps listed below to update the firmware from HP Smart App.

1. Go to 123.hp.com (Android, Apple iOS, iPad OS), or HP Smart - Microsoft Store (Windows), or HP Smart - Mac App Store (Mac) (if not installed).

2. After completing the printer setup, click or tap on the printer’s name.

NOTE: Menu names, locations, and available settings vary by printer model.

3. Under Advanced, select Printer Home Page (EWS) or Advanced Settings.

4. Click or tap Tools or Web Services.

5. Click or tap Printer Updates or Product Update, and then click or tap Check Now.

This standard response would have been useful for novices.  However, you obviously did not read that my printer is already using a firmware version that is even newer than what is in the Support Center.  It was loaded by a technician from bench repair to fix an unrelated issue.
