I work for a charity. I receiver printer donations and refurbish them for use. I have several printers that receive "payment" or "instant ink account" messages. I need to disconnect these printers from instant ink accounts so they can be used with regular hp ink. I do not know the accounts they are under. I can provide serial numbers. What should I do? These are nice printers that I would not like to place in disposal.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
I would guess, given the right kind of records for having received the printers to the charity, that the issue can be sorted.
Clearing subscriptions from donated printers is going to require access to your private information.

Hi @larryh133x,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're looking to stop using Instant Ink, there are a few steps you'll need to follow.
- Cancel your Instant Ink subscription: If you're currently subscribed to Instant Ink, you'll need to cancel your subscription to stop receiving ink cartridges. You can do this by logging into your HP Instant Ink account online and following the cancellation process.
- Remove the Instant Ink cartridges: Once you've cancelled your subscription, you'll need to remove the Instant Ink cartridges from your printer. You can replace them with regular ink cartridges that you purchase separately.
- Disable Instant Ink features on your printer: Some printers may have Instant Ink features enabled by default. You'll need to disable these features to prevent your printer from using Instant Ink cartridges in the future. You can find instructions on how to do this in your printer's user manual or online.
- Reset your printer: To ensure that your printer is no longer associated with your Instant Ink account, you may need to reset your printer to its factory settings. You can find instructions on how to do this in your printer's user manual or online.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
