I suddenly started getting the error "Cartridge Problem".  I have tried everything: replacing all of the cartridges, shutting down and starting again, cleaning with alchol.  Yes, I am using the correct cartridges.  The error states that one or more cartridges are missing or damaged.  I have replaced with brand new cartridges and still have the same error.  How can I fix this??

Hello Cooper661,

Thanks for reaching us out.

Try the below steps and help me know if the issue is sorted:

>>Remove all cartridges:
Check that protective tape/film is fully removed from the contacts and no plastic tabs remain.
Reinsert each cartridge firmly until it clicks into place.
Make sure each cartridge is in the correct slot (color vs black).

>>Power reset:
Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet and wait for 60 seconds.
Press and hold the power button for 2 minutes and then release the button.
Now, connect the plug and turn On the printer and help me know if the issue is sorted.

>> Check for Firmware/Software Issues:
Update the firmware from HP Website and check if it works.

>> Inspect for any printer related hardware problems:
Look for bent pins or debris inside the cartridge slots.
Some printers have a cartridge carriage ribbon that can be damaged; check that it moves freely.
If the printer was recently moved or bumped, contacts may have loosened.

Regards,

Sharun
