Hello

Just replaced my ink cateridges and the system check confirmed that theynare genuine cartridges. However, there is now a message stating that there is problem with the supply system.

I've removed and replaced the cartridges and this didn't work and then I also powered off and restarted the printer and this is still happening.

Can anyone offer any solutions to this?

@Sulana, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Supply System Problems with HP Printers!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The "Supply System Problem" message you are encountering can be due to an issue with your printer's supply system, even if the cartridges are genuine and installed correctly. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Replace the Affected Cartridge: Try replacing the affected cartridge with a different, non-empty, genuine HP cartridge. Make sure the cartridge is properly installed and securely seated.

Check for Warranty: If the problematic cartridge is still under warranty, HP may provide a replacement cartridge.

Check Electrical Contacts: Sometimes, poor electrical contact can cause such issues. Ensure the electrical contacts on both the cartridge and within the printer are clean and free from any debris. You may use a lint-free cloth to gently wipe the contacts.

Disable Cartridge Protection: If your printer has the Cartridge Protection feature enabled, disabling it might help. You can turn off Cartridge Protection in the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Here's how:

  • Click the Tools tab.
  • Under Product Information, click Cartridge Settings.
  • From the Cartridge Protection drop-down list, select Off.
  • Click Apply.

Ensure Firmware is Updated: Check HP's official site to ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date, as firmware updates can resolve incompatibility issues or bugs.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
