My Office Jet Pro 8135e is not printing properly. I just purchased the printer in August 2024, and have changed the ink cartridges. But the printer is not printing a color copy correctly. The colors are faded. I have performed alignment, and cleaned the print heads. So we have done all the trouble shooting.
What can I do to fix this problem of the color printer not printing color correctly?

Hi @AMP241,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e is still experiencing color issues despite replacing the cartridges and performing maintenance, here are some additional steps you can take to try to resolve the problem:
1. Check Ink Cartridge Installation
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and securely. Sometimes, if they aren't seated properly, it can affect printing.
2. Perform a Deep Clean
- Use the printer's maintenance option to perform a deeper cleaning of the printheads. This can sometimes help if there are clogs that a regular cleaning didn’t clear.
- To do this:
- Go to the Printer Settings.
- Select Tools or Maintenance.
- Choose Clean Printhead or Deep Cleaning.
3. Use Genuine HP Cartridges
- Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Third-party cartridges can sometimes lead to printing issues.
4. Check for Firmware Updates
- Make sure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can fix bugs and improve printer performance.
- You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
5. Print a Diagnostic Page
- Print a test page or a printer diagnostic page to see if the issue is consistent across all colors. This can help isolate whether the problem is with specific colors or the entire color printing process.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
