Hi @Kb209,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Smart Tank 7301 is not printing yellow ink despite performing alignment and printhead cleaning, try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Ensure that the yellow ink tank has sufficient ink and that the ink is flowing properly.
- If the ink level is low, refill it and allow the ink to settle for a few minutes.
2. Remove and Reinsert the Printhead
- Power off the printer and remove the printhead.
- Check if the yellow ink nozzle is clogged, gently clean it with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
- Let it dry completely and then reinstall it firmly.
3. Run a Printhead Cleaning Again
- Go to your printer settings and run the printhead cleaning cycle again.
- Print a nozzle check page to see if the yellow ink is coming through.
4. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord for 5 minutes.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
- Try printing again.
5. Check for Air Bubbles in the Ink Line
- If you see air bubbles in the yellow ink tube, try gently tapping the ink tank to release them.
- Print a few test pages with yellow-heavy images to force the ink through.
6. Update Printer Firmware
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date via the HP Smart app or the HP Support website.
Let me know how it goes.
