I am trying to use third part non counterfeit cartridges in my HP 7740.  I keep getting the error message " Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge making sure it is correctly installed.  How can I use third party cartridges in my HP 7740?

Hi,

Your printer is Dynamic Security enabled, meaning that the printer can accept Non-HP cartridge, as long as those have an original or unmodified  HP electronic circuitry.

Please check with your supplier to ensure your cartridge has an original HP security chip or unmodified HP electronic circuitry,

I tried third party cartridges from 2 different companies that all failed, thinking I got bad cartridges the first time...curious if this was another HP thing to get users to only purchase their cartridges, I tried 4 others, all different companies, ALL FAILED. Now I would have thought HP would have learned a lesson after they lost a class-action lawsuit regarding this a few years back but it looks as though their updates are to prevent any recognition of third-party cartridges, not to improve their product/its usage. Fix this HP or maybe you'd like another lawsuit? If anyone has information to remedy this problem, please share but I am 99% certain it's just HP up to their old, greedy tactics.
