When HP came out with the firmware upgrade to allow third party cartridges to be used in HP printers, I installed the upgrade and have been using third party cartridges ever since. When my cyan ran out, I replaced it with the identical cartridge that I removed, HP 951XL Compatible, and now I'm getting a printer error that suggests shutting down the printer, unplugging the power cord, plugging in the power cord and turning the printer back on. I have done that and get the same error. So I thought maybe the cartridge was faulty and went and got another cartridge. Plugged it in and got the same error. Unusual that two cartridges would be faulty having never had the problem before. Plugged the original empty cartridge back in and the printer registers the cartridge fine except it indicates that the cartridge is empty. Any thoughts.
