I have an Officejet Pro 9010 all-in-one printer and I can’t print my pictures without getting a white border. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the border?

Hi @GraceSong,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
To print borderless photos with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One Printer, you'll need to ensure that both your printer settings and the print job settings are configured correctly. Here's how you can achieve borderless printing:
1. Check the Paper Size and Type
- Ensure that you are using the correct paper size that supports borderless printing. Common sizes for borderless photos include 4x6 inches, 5x7 inches, and 8.5x11 inches.
- Use photo paper specifically designed for borderless printing. Regular paper might not support this feature.
2. Adjust Printer Settings
On Windows:
- Open the document or photo you want to print.
- Click on File > Print.
- Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 printer from the list.
- Click on Printer Properties or Preferences.
- Look for a tab or option labeled Paper/Quality or Features.
- Under the Paper Size dropdown menu, select a size that indicates "Borderless" (e.g., 4x6 Borderless).
- Ensure that the Paper Type is set to photo paper.
- Check the Print Quality settings and choose a high-quality option for better photo printing.
- Click OK to save the settings.
On macOS:
- Open the document or photo you want to print.
- Click on File > Print.
- Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 printer from the list.
- In the Print dialog box, click on Show Details if necessary.
- Look for a section labeled Paper Size and choose a size that includes "Borderless."
- In the Paper Type/Quality dropdown menu, select the appropriate photo paper type.
- Set the Quality to Best for high-quality photo printing.
- Make sure the Borderless Printing option is checked or enabled.
- Click Print to start printing.
3. Use the HP Smart App (Optional)
- If you prefer using the HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart App on your device.
- Select Print Photos.
- Choose the photo you want to print.
- When selecting the paper size, ensure you choose an option labeled "Borderless."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the print job.
4. Check Printer Firmware
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date, as updates can sometimes fix issues related to print settings.
5. Double-check margins in the Application
- Make sure the application you're printing from (like Photoshop, Microsoft Word, or even the photo viewer) doesn't have additional margin settings that override the printer's borderless setting.
Following these steps should allow you to print your photos without any white borders on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi Elohi,
Thank you for replying .
My printer model is HPD17FE2 (HP OfficeJet Pro All-in-One). Following your advice, I set it up step-by-step, and I am using HP Everyday Photo Paper in 5x7 size. When it comes to selecting a size that indicates "Borderless" (e.g., 4x6 Borderless), my printer settings do not show this option; it only shows options like 4x6, 5x7, etc. However, I have enabled the Borderless printing option in the final settings. Despite this, the printed photos still have wide white margins at the top and bottom. I am unsure why this is happening. Could you please help me figure out what might be going wrong? Additionally, I also tried printing via the HP Smart app on my phone, but encountered the same issue.
Thank you.
Best
Grace
