@Mandy145, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Toner Cartridge 134X Error!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It seems that you're experiencing an issue with your HP 134X High Yield Black Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge, which is designed to provide approximately 2200 pages but has only given you around 400 pages. Here are some steps and resources that might help you resolve this issue:
Verify Cartridge Installation: Make sure the toner cartridge is installed correctly in the printer. Improper installation can affect performance.
Check Printer Settings: Ensure your printer settings are correct. Sometimes settings like paper type can influence toner usage.
Check Toner Level: Use the printer's control panel or the HP Smart App to verify the toner level status. If it shows as depleted but you suspect otherwise, it might be a technical error.
Genuine HP Products: Confirm that your toner cartridge is a genuine HP product as non-genuine products might not have the same page yield.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi @Mandy145,
Thank you for the response.
Since @zoey7886 is not available at the moment, I'll be assisting you further.
Here's what you can try next.
1. Power Cycle the Printer
Sometimes, a simple reset can clear the cartridge error. Please follow these steps:
Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable.
Wait for 60 seconds.
Reconnect and power it back on.
2. Remove and Reinstall the Cartridge
Power off the printer.
Gently remove the toner cartridge.
Check for any protective tape, dust, or debris on the chip area or contact points.
Reinsert the cartridge firmly and ensure it clicks into place.
3. Confirm the Cartridge is Genuine HP
Look for the HP security seal on the cartridge box.
You can also verify authenticity using the HP anti-counterfeit tool by scanning the QR code on the label.
4. Try with Another Cartridge (if available) If possible, insert a known working cartridge. This will help determine whether the issue lies with the cartridge or the printer.
I hope this helps.
