HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I purchased HP original HP toner reload kit 143AD for HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200W.

When I insert the kit to the reload port, the toner indicator blinks orange and cannot rotate 180degree.

Is 143A not compatible with MFP 1200W?

Please let me know how to solve.

Thank you.

Hi @fantarain,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

As your HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200W’s toner indicator is blinking orange, it might be due to installation or compatibility issues. Here’s what you can do:

Check Compatibility: Make sure you're using the correct toner—HP 143AD or HP 143A. The 143AD is a dual pack, but it should still work fine with your printer.

Proper Installation: Gently shake the toner reload kit before inserting it. Align the notches correctly with the port, then insert and turn it 180° clockwise. If it doesn’t turn, don’t force it—remove and try reinserting it.

Remove and Reinsert: Turn off the printer, remove the toner reload kit, wait for 1-2 minutes, and then reinsert it carefully.

Check for Residual Toner: If the previous toner wasn’t completely empty, the system might not recognize the new one. Try using the printer until the toner is fully depleted before installing the new kit.

Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 5 minutes, and turn it back on.

Firmware Update: Outdated firmware can cause recognition issues. Update the firmware via the HP Smart App or HP’s official website.

Try these steps and let me know if you need any further assistance! 😊
