Hi @MoomenElabd,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The issue you're encountering likely stems from the printer not being compatible with the 106A cartridge. Even though the HP Laser MFP 135W was originally supplied with the 107A cartridge, the 106A cartridge may have different firmware or specifications, which is causing the incompatibility message.

Here’s what you can try to resolve this issue.

Ensure Compatibility:

  • Double-check that the 106A cartridge is specifically compatible with your printer model. The HP Laser MFP 135W typically supports the 107A cartridge, and using a 106A cartridge could cause the "Not supported" error.
  • The 106A cartridge is commonly used with other models like the HP Laser MFP 130, but your printer might require the 107A for proper functionality.

Reset the Printer:

  • Try performing a hard reset of the printer by turning it off, unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes help the printer reset its cartridge recognition.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Sometimes, a firmware update can address compatibility issues with certain toner cartridges. Visit the HP support website and check if there are any updates available for your printer.

Try Reinstalling the Cartridge:

  • Remove and reinstall the 106A cartridge to ensure it's seated properly. Sometimes, a misaligned or improperly installed cartridge can trigger compatibility errors.

Use the Correct Cartridge:

  • If the error persists, it may be best to revert to the 107A cartridge, which is the recommended cartridge for your printer model, to avoid further issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
