Toner smearing

We have magenta toner smear patterns on the left side of color printed sheets on our M477FDN.  In monochrome mode there is little-to-no issue.  There is also a faint band of yellow and another of magenta near the top of the backside of the first page printed which seems to go away on the second or third page printed, but returns on the next print job.  There is no visible issue with either the magenta or yellow toner cartridge and doing a "cleaning page" from the service menu didn't help, in fact it appears worse.

Please replace the defective magenta cartridge.

So buy another $250 toner cartridge that we'll get 30% use of before that fails too?

I think I'll start shopping for a new printer instead.
