HP Tri-Color Cartridge Incorrectly Installed.
Despite having done this operation numerous times, I recently got this error.
The color cartridge is installed in the left slot, the printer drivers are updated, I've changed a few color cartridges, to no avail
My printer is: HP OfficeJet 4500 G510 n-z

@Napsman, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand the printer is not accepting the color ink cartridge.
Make sure you are using HP inks.
Check if the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges
Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error
Insert the old/alternate ink cartridge(if available) and check if the error persists. If no error, then the new one is defective.
- I've sent you a private message with further instructions to get this issue sorted.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
If the issue persists with more than one color ink cartridge, I'm afraid the printer has gone bad.
If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
