Problems printing booklet format from Mac to HP 5200 series.  When I send to print, software is automatically formatting to print four pages of text on an 8.5 by 11 page.  Three days ago, I got it to print two pages of text on that sized paper, which is what I want.  Using another computer and same printer, I can get it to print 2 pages per 8.5 by 11 sheet.  Only difference I can find between the two set-ups is that one computer is using V3 printer driver and the other V4.  The one with the V4 driver is giving me the problems.

@TheSkipJones, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It seems like the issue is related to the printer driver version on your Mac. When you use the V4 driver, the printer is automatically formatting the document to print four pages per 8.5 by 11 sheet, instead of the two pages per sheet that you want.

Here are a few steps you can try to fix the issue:

Switch Back to the V3 Printer Driver:

  • Since the other computer with the V3 driver is working correctly, you could try uninstalling the V4 driver and installing the V3 driver on your Mac. Sometimes, switching back to the V3 driver may resolve the problem.

Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • If switching drivers isn’t an option, try updating or reinstalling the V4 driver. Sometimes, a fresh installation of the driver can resolve any bugs or settings issues that might be causing the formatting problem.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue
