Cyan ink was low or out, so I replaced the cartridge. Didn't work, so I ordered another and replaced it again. Still didn't work. Cannot clean printheads from computer, so removed & reinserted printheads. Still no joy. Cyan indicator light continues to blink. After two new cartridges, I hesitate to waste money on a third one.

Thanks, but none of the suggestions helped. I have a strong suspicion that the print head is defunct, but a new print head costs more than a printer. Thus, I have decided to purchase a new machine.

Before you toss the old printer I would suggest the following:  remove the ink cartridges and the printhead.  Use a flashlight to look in the printhead.  Near the top of the cavity where the cartridges are installed there are four gold pins for each cartridge.  Look at the pins, especially for the cartridge giving the issue.  If the pins are bent it may be possible to carefully bend the ins back to their correct positions which may correct the issue.

I followed your suggestion but could not discern any bent pins.  I appreciate your effort, but I think it's a lost cause. And a new printhead costs more than a new printer, so I have ordered a new one. Thanks for trying, though!
