The printer does not accept "any type" of paper.
Printer does accept / support several Media types.
Of the several models in the series, an example of the Specifications:
Product Specifications for the HP ENVY 6020 All-in-One Printer (5SE16B)
For example - Paper Handling
Media types | Plain Paper; HP Photo Papers; HP Matte Brochure or Professional Paper; HP Matte Presentation Paper; HP Glossy Brochure or Professional Paper; Other Photo Inkjet Papers; Other Matte Inkjet Papers; Other Glossy Inkjet Papers; Plain Paper, Light/Recycled |
Media weight supported (metric) | A4: 60 to 90 g/m²; HP envelopes: 75 to 90 g/m²; HP cards: up to 200 g/m²; HP 10 x 15 cm photo paper: up to 300 g/m² |
HP Brochure Matte, for example, is typically 180 gsm.
This is usually an acceptable Media choice (selection for paper type) for several of the Avery "papers".
Presentation Paper falls into this general range / category but it is a lighter paper at 120 gsm.
NOTE: The heaviest of the Avery Business card paper may not work - these may be simply too heavy for the printer.
NOTE 2: You cannot generally "fool" the printer by selecting "Photo paper" if you are not actually using photo paper. Most printers can sense when photo paper is loaded and will reject an unmatched paper type setting.
