I haven't been able to print magenta for many months now, and periodically I try and deal with the problem by going through troubleshooting menus etc. But now I'm giving up and buying a new printer. It will cost more to have it repaired than what it is worth at this point.
Recently the black is also not printing well, it's quite faint. Today, I have cleaned every part that I can reach with rubbing alcohol, soft cloth and q-tips after watching numerous YouTube videos on the problem, and it is no better.
This printer is about four years old, but I did expect it to last a little longer.

@Kendra1243, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like you’ve been putting in a lot of effort to fix the issue yourself, but I totally understand your frustration. When the printer’s not printing properly for months, and it keeps costing time and effort without much improvement.
Even after cleaning, sometimes the problem lies within the ink delivery system, or the printer may have issues like a clogged printhead.
Perform a nozzle check. If clogged, run the deep cleaning cycle.
Ensure no paper or debris is obstructing the ink flow. Clean the paper feed rollers.
Check for firmware updates on HP Support website.
Unplug the printer for a few minutes, then plug it back in to reset it.
Print a test page to check print quality.
