Trying to sign up to instant ink. Keep getting the following error message: UA_400_EB000U0422. Can't get any further.

Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the internet. You can do this by printing a network configuration page or checking the printer's display.

HP Smart App:

  • If you're using the HP Smart app, make sure it is updated to the latest version. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if that resolves the issue.

Account Issues:

  • Verify that the email address associated with your HP account is correct and that you have not used it for another HP account.

Clear Cache:

  • If you are signing up through a web browser, clear the browser cache and cookies or try using a different browser or device.

Check for Service Outages:

  • Occasionally, there may be server issues on HP's side. Check the HP Support page or their social media accounts for any reported outages.

Manual Signup:

  • If you continue to have trouble, consider signing up for Instant Ink through the HP website instead of the app. Go to the HP Instant Ink page and try to register your printer there.
