I have 4 new and unused ink cartridges I would like to use before I purchase a new printer.

So I unenrolled in the ink cartridge program and now I cannot print using the cartridges I paid for because

I'm not enrolled in the plan.

What can I do?

How do I use the 4 cartridges I have that have not been used?

Any Suggestions?

Hi @Russell-G,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Those 4 cartridges you have are Instant Ink cartridges, which means they’re tied to the subscription service and will only work when your printer is actively enrolled in the Instant Ink plan.

Even if they haven’t been used yet, once you unenroll, the cartridges become inactive and won’t let you print anymore.

But don’t worry, you can keep the cartridges and reactivate your Instant Ink subscription anytime to use them again

I hope this helps.
