Hello, I recently moved from Canada to Czech Republic. I am using an HP an office jet Pro 7740 and I need to replace my depleted ink. I have tried to change the region from Canada to Czech Republic but it still does not recognize the new 953 XL cartridges. I still have all the old 952 cartridges. I have found a previous post suggesting to right click while pressing CTRL-SHIFT but its an old post and it doesnt seem to be working for me.
I would appreciate any help as I have already spent almost 200 euro on new ink and I do not want to buy a new printer as this one is perfectly fine and its just a question of regionalization.

Hi @Nnappi78,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand you moved, and the printer is not accepting the new region cartridges.
NOTE: regional reset is attempted on a best-effort basis, it might not work on all printers.
If this does not work, we cannot re-attempt it as it may brick the printer
We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
