HP Recommended
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Officejet 4630 printer has started throwing an incompatible cartridge error. I know my cartridge isn't HP but it is generic and it is compatible. How do I eliminate this marketing message from HP? Thanks

Thanks for bringing this to our notice. 

 

Please note that HP recommends using genuine HP ink or toner supplies available from the HP Store. 

I would suggest you please use genuine ink and you will not have this issue.

HP Recommended

Most OEMs say the same but unlike HP they don’t block the use of generic equivalent products. Why is HP doing this and why haven’t they been sued for it in a class action suit already?
