I am homeschooling my son, and needed to do an excessive amount of printing over the last few days and naturally ran out of ink, i believe i should be getting my shipment here in a couple days or so, but i need to print more things for his schooling. my printer will not recognize the store bought ink. How can I use my ink for the time being?

Hi @strwbrrycrush,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 2755e printer isn’t recognizing the store-bought ink, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.
Check Compatibility: Ensure that the store-bought ink cartridges are compatible with your printer model.
Inspect the Cartridges: Remove the cartridges and check for any protective tape or packaging that might not have been removed. Make sure the contacts are clean and free of any dust or residue.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about a minute.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Reinstall the Cartridges: After resetting, reinstall the cartridges, making sure they click into place securely.
Update Printer Firmware: Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve recognition issues:
- Visit the HP Support website and check for any firmware updates for your printer model.
Try Printing a Test Page: After reinstalling the cartridges, try printing a test page to see if the printer recognizes them.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
