I just printer a bank statement and the printing was very light and faint, very hard to read. I have a new black ink cartridge installed, print quality set to Better, and it has been printing just fine. What should I do to correct this problem?
Thanks

Thanks for your help. The document from HP is very good, I've saved it for future use. I have the printer working fine now, had to install a new Instant Ink black cartridge. The cartridge that I had installed, even though new, was an older one I had on hand, and even though it worked fine when I initially installed it about 10 days ago, it led to the print problem.

Currently, HP states on the website that contact by phone for customer support is an option. When clicking through that contact process, it is not true. Contacting by phone is not an option, one is only repeated brought back to the same page to a 'community'. Once you follow that path and try options listed, if none work, the site states that if has been a while since that particular trouble shooting issue was addressed in the 'community' that one can make a new post. I typed the following for a new post, yet again, it was not true, but one must choose a previous post and is redirected back to that post. There is no way to print a new post or start a new thread. ( Also, when I purchased the printer, the scanner worked fine, yet, the printer was programmed in some way, or hp accessed the printers, so that now you cannot privately scan your documents directly into your own pc, but it has to go via the internet to hp to scan. There are many other purchasers who have commented on this tremendous privacy violation and as well will never purchase another hp product. ) Thus, why I am absurdly printing this here, in a reply spot. If there is one conscionable hp employee who will respond, to this printing issue for my printer, good for them. 😀😐😄☹️
The printer is hp Office et 3830
This printer has had poorer and poorer quality print. Ink levels are good. I have run cartridge cleaner; 2nd cartridge cleaner and alignment page. I have turned off printer; disconnected the power cord; turned off the computer; connected the power cord turned the printer on; disconnected the power cord to the router (My computer is hard wired, so there was no internet light to come back on the router, once I disconnected the power cord.); reconnected the power cord; turned on the computer (once the modem was powered up and internet light on again). Again, ran the cartridge cleaner: 1st and 2nd cleaning; then alignment page again. (There is no 'printer head' cleaning option.) The print is still illegibly light and am unable to use the printer for business purposes.
